The following are programs offered by the ministère des Ressources naturelles et de la Faune and its partners. Various types of financial assistance are available through these programs.
The Recommissioning of Building Mechanical Systems Program consists of paying part of the costs of the five phases associated with the recommissioning of a building that will be carried out by an accredited agent. The five phases are: planning, investigation, implementation, transfer and on-going monitoring.
The program has been introduced by Gaz Métro, Hydro-Québec, and the Bureau de l'efficacité et de l'innovation technologiques of the Ministère des Ressources naturelles et de la Faune. This partnership means that the registration process is simpler since the documents to be completed to obtain financial assistance will serve either Gaz Métro or Hydro-Québec.

Launched in March 2008, this program involves collecting and recycling refrigerators and freezers that consume excessive amounts of energy, using environmental best practices. Clients are given a financial incentive. The program is aimed at all Québec households with outmoded freezers and refrigerators.

It aims to reduce the amount of refrigerants used, notably by encouraging supermarkets to install secondary loops, use more ecological refrigerants, and adopt integrated refrigeration, heating, and ventilation systems to reduce GHG emissions from fuel burning equipment in their buildings.

Rénoclimat is an energy efficiency renovation program for people who own a single-family, semi-detached, row house (town house), a duplex or triplex. The program includes an energy audit conducted both before and after the renovation. An energy efficiency rating of your home is done on-site by an energy efficiency advisor. The program also offers access to financial assistance.

Launched in 2003, this energy analysis tool informs residential clients about energy efficiency measures suitable for their homes and their energy consumption habits. The client fills out a questionnaire (hard copy or online version), and then receives a report listing recommendations, along with a portrait of energy consumption per use and suggestions for energy-saving measures appropriate to the client’s situation. For some measures, the client receives an estimate of potential savings, implementation costs and the time required for a return on the investment. The service is free of charge.
This program aims to encourage by financial assistance, the acquisition and installation of air or water solar heating systems. It is intended for cooperatives, non-profit housing and social community organizations that help low income clients.
The purpose of this program is to stimulate savings in natural gas use among commercial and institutional clients who embark on retrofits aimed at energy optimization in existing buildings or who construct a new building. All Gazifère commercial and institutional clients are eligible. Gazifère analyzes the feasibility study carried out by a professional architect or engineer demonstrating the energy savings that result for each measure taken.
This programs aims to install control system of a variable-speed on existing or new hoods for commercial kitchen pruposes. These controls helps vents only the quantity of air needed to remove the steam and grease from cooking. By using variable fans, which can be modulated based on the exhaust air temperature under the hood, exhausts can be optimized and energy expenses limited. Also, a variable speed hood operates in concert with the fresh air supply unit in order to balance the intake of fresh air with the exhaust of contaminated air. The fresh air unit is also fitted with a variable speed drive so that only the fresh air required is heated, which represents a significant cost saving.
