The purpose of this program is to help clients save on water and natural gas consumption. All Gazifère residential clients receive the kit free of charge. It includes energy-saving products such as a showerhead, faucet nozzle and insulation. |

The PIBGE program has been available since 2005 to managers of commercial and institutional buildings (both existing and new buildings) that pay the L-rate.
Its energy analysis section grants financial aid for energy audits, which help determine ways of improving energy efficiency. The program also aims to raise awareness about energy efficiency among employees and managers so as to encourage application of the recommended energy-saving measures.
The building energy optimization section encourages clients to carry out energy efficiency renovation projects by providing financial aid to help reduce the length of time required for a return on investment, and provides personalized accompaniment for the project. It does not prescribe specific energy efficient measures, but provides instead a framework for implementing the projects proposed by clients to improve the energy performance of their facilities. |

A solar water heater can meet 60% of a family’s hot water needs. This is why the AEE has launched a pilot project which will allow to benefit from major financial assistance for the purchase and installation of a new domestic solar water heater. This project is intended for home owners, owners of small multiple-unit buildings and cooperatives. Requests for financial assistance must be received by the AEE no later than October 31, 2010. |

This program offers a rebate of $1.00 per cubic metre of natural gas saved. By re-using a significant quantity of energy from drain water, the unit will help reduce the energy used for heating water. The program is applicable to commercial, institutional and industrial buildings, as well as to multi-unit buildings with 4 or more units, that use natural gas for heating water. |
