To be eligible for Rénoclimat financial assistance, you must have had two energy evaluations for your home (before and after renovations) within an 18-month period.
The performed renovations must have improved your home’s EnerGuide rating by 2 points or more. If you are not sure that you will be able to reach this target, please call your advisor, who will explain how you can achieve this goal.
The Rénoclimat program offers you the opportunity to receive two energy evaluations for your home at preferential rates. Consult the Energy evaluation section to find out more about these rates and their conditions.
Rénoclimat financial assistance is granted based on the nature of the work carried out and in many cases it is also based on the surface area covered by the work. Amounts are calculated differently according to the form of energy used by the main heating system.

Some renovations do not help you significantly increase the energy performance of your home and are not eligible for financial assistance. Here is the list:
Carried out individually, this type of work will not help you increase your EnerGuide rating by 2 points or more and therefore not make you eligible to receive financial assistance under the Rénoclimat program.
Owners planning to expand their home should be advised that this type of work is not eligible for Rénoclimat financial assistance and can also reduce the amount of financial assistance calculated based on the surface area of the work.
Other amounts may be granted directly by Hydro-Québec, Gaz Métro, the Fonds en efficacité énergétique de Gaz Métro and Gazifère within the scope of other energy efficiency programs.
To find out more about these programs, consult the complete list of energy efficiency programs offered throughout Québec by selecting the “residential” sector or by simply calling your energy provider.
